Who We Are
Midgardian is the songwriting team of indie artists Eddie and Loribeth, also known as Freyr and Freyja. They have written and performed music for decades and formed Midgardian to release a new body of songs together.
Music and Releases
The songs begin with the writers’ concepts, words, and emotions. Midgardian uses AI as a tool to bring those ideas into finished recordings. The band originally planned to record and perform the material themselves, and still hopes to tour; in the meantime, they are releasing their growing catalog as it is completed.
The band shares music and short-form video content on TikTok and YouTube. Its videos include recurring characters and scenes, some of which the artists act out themselves before developing into generated visuals.
The Artists
Eddie — Freyr
A songwriter since picking up guitar in 1989. Some earlier songs, including “Will You Still Love Me,” have since been released as Midgardian songs. He also works in IT systems engineering.
Loribeth — Freyja
An entrepreneur, writer, artist, and co-creator of Midgardian songs and artwork. Her background includes co-founding a TNR rescue and an art studio, as well as managing social media accounts.
